Epic Business Tours

Epic Business Tours successfully completed another exciting business tour to China from June 8th to June 20th, 2026. The tour gave entrepreneurs and business owners a chance to visit some of China's biggest wholesale markets, learn about sourcing products, and experience the country's rich culture.

The journey started in Nairobi with a briefing led by our CEO, George Mbogo, and our tour guide, Mitchell, at Four Points by Sheraton near Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. During the briefing, the group was taken through the travel plan, what to expect during the trip, and important tips that helped everyone prepare for the journey.

After the briefing, the group departed from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and flew to Baiyun International Airport in Guangzhou. They had a two-hour layover before taking another flight to Yiwu, where the business tour officially began.

Yiwu — The Wholesale Capital

Yiwu is known around the world for its large wholesale markets, and it was the perfect place to begin the journey. The group visited the famous Futian Market, also known as the General Market, where they explored thousands of products from different suppliers. It was a great opportunity to compare prices, discover new products, and meet manufacturers.

In the evening, the group visited the Yiwu Night Market. The market was full of local food, shopping stalls, and a lively atmosphere. It was a great chance to enjoy Chinese street food and experience the city's nightlife after a busy day in the markets.

Guangzhou — Specialized Markets

From Yiwu, the group travelled to Guangzhou. One of the first things they learned was how to use the city's metro system, making it easy to move around like the locals.

Markets Visited in Guangzhou

  • Beauty Market
  • European Market
  • Tong Tong Market
  • Guangda Market
  • Phone Market

Each market offered different products and gave participants the opportunity to meet suppliers and learn more about importing directly from China.

Foshan — Furniture & Ceramics

The tour also included a visit to Foshan, a city well known for its ceramics and furniture industry. Participants explored large showrooms and markets where they saw quality furniture, home décor, ceramics, and building materials. It was a valuable experience for those interested in construction, interior design, and home furnishing businesses.

"This tour was more than just a business trip. It was an opportunity to learn, build business connections, discover reliable suppliers, and gain confidence in international trade."

Back to Guangzhou — Culture & Views

After completing the business visits, the group returned to Guangzhou for a free day. They enjoyed a city tour where they learned about China's history and culture, visited some of the city's famous attractions, and experienced the Baiyun Cable Ride, which offered amazing views of Guangzhou from above. It was the perfect way to end a successful business trip before flying back to Nairobi.

Every participant returned home with new knowledge, valuable contacts, and fresh ideas for growing their businesses.
